Well, we are down to our final two rustic furniture categories for our blog series all about some of the most popular rustic furniture pieces from 2011. I hope that this rustic furniture blog series has been entertaining and more importantly helpful as you look towards a bright and successful 2012. I hope that all of you rustic furniture store owners and rustic interior designers are able to walk away from this series with some good ideas of what rustic furniture and accessories you want to introduce your clients to.
So what category are we looking at today? Today we are checking out some of the most popular rustic accessories from 2012.
As a wholesale rustic furniture company we specialize in handcrafted teak furniture. However, as you all know, if you are going to offer rustic furniture, you need to offer rustic accessories as well. They two just go together. Rustic furniture will always look better with rustic accessories. Rustic accessories can add color, softness, a theme, interest to a wall and more. Accessories are a great way to add life and character to your rustic furniture store or you latest interior design project.
Here at AdenWorks we offer a wide variety of rustic accessories. You will find everything from hand carved cowboys and Indians to beautiful flower vases and old wagon wheels.
So what are some of the pieces that topped our lists this past year? Let’s check them out…
A Few of the Most Popular Rustic Accessories From 2011
Mango Swirl Vase: This vase is absolutely beautiful, in fact I have one at my house full of peacock feathers and twigs. This vase is not made from teak wood but instead it is crafted from mango wood. If you have never seen mango wood you have got to check it out. The wood grain is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen because it is very dramatic and has incredible swirls.

Wine Bucket Planter: The Wine Bucket Planter is one of our more literal pieces. What do I mean by that? Well as you probably know, AdenWorks’ rustic furniture is crafted from reclaimed farming tools. Well this piece is literally an old well bucket used years ago. It is full of character and ruggedness. Now you can use this bucket for magazines, plants, a centerpiece or something else. Have fun and get creative!

Trough: The Trough is another literal piece that we offer here at AdenWorks. It truly is an old feeding trough from the farm. This may sound like a weird accessory, but it to is one of my top faves. This trough can make a stunning centerpiece. You can fill it with all kinds of decorative elements like plants, fruit, nuts, moss balls, I mean the list goes on and on.

Welton Screen: Last but not least we have the Welton Screen. This is one of those pieces that gets all of the attention. People visit our warehouse and immediately are drawn to the Welton Screens. They are very cool and can be used in all different types of applications. From headboards to room dividers this piece is sure to look great in your store.

Mirror Mirror on the wall, who is the most popular one of all?
That is the question of the day! If you are a dedicated reader of AdenWorks' rustic furniture blog (which I hope you are) you know that we are in a blog series right now. This blog series is all about some of the most popular rustic furniture pieces from each category that AdenWorks has to offer. That includes chairs, benches, coffee and end tables, tables, home furnishings, beds, bars and barstools, swings, and lighting. Today we are checking out which mirror was the top favorite from this past year.
First, lets take a second to talk about mirrors. Mirrors are a great accessory for homes, offices, and even outdoor living spaces. Mirrors not only add interest to a wall space but they also add dimension, and light. If you look around mirrors are all over the place. We use mirrors in bathrooms, bedrooms, entry ways, dining rooms, hallways, closets and beyond.
I have a very large rustic mirror in my dining room and I aboslutely love it. My dining room is not too terribly big, so adding a large mirror to the space immediately enlarged the room. Suddenly there was more space and more light. Now it is the perfect place for entertaining.
Here at AdenWorks, a wholesale rustic furniture company, we offer five different types of mirrors. We have the traditional Rustic Mirror, the Split Twig Mirror, the Nestling Mirror, The Cripple Creek Mirror and the Hill County Mirror. I cannot tell you how popular these are amoung customers. Everyone just loves the way the perfectly compliment AdenWorks' rustic furniture. There are each so unqiue and the handcrafted quality is even more desiring.
So what mirrors topped the charts last year??
Nestling Mirror: This is one of my favorite rustic mirrors. I love the round shape and the organic feel of the mirror. It just looks like a bird's nest to me, hence the name. It is a great smaller mirror that can be placed just about anywhere in the home. Think about how great this mirror would look in your store!

Rustic Mirror: You cannot go wrong with AdenWorks' rustic mirror. This is a rugged mirror that is made from old teak planks instead of the weaved twigs. This piece looks great over our Cheyenne Wall Table or even some of the buffets. If you are looking for a simple but beautiful rustic mirror, this is the one for you.

Do you remember those days as a kid when the park was the highlight of your day. I mean there was nothing like going to the park on a warm spring day and immediately running over to the swing set. There is just something about swings that is relaxing and thrilling all at the same time. In fact, talking about swings makes me want to go over to the part tonight.
Yep, swings are pretty awesome, especially rustic swings. Here at AdenWorks, a wholesale rustic furniture company, we offer three different types of rustic swings. We have the Lazy Laramie Swing, the Rockaway Swing and the Territory Swing.
I always say that if I had a large backyard I would snatch up the Territory Swing for my home. It is a pretty awesome piece, so awesome in fact that it was the most popular rustic swing from 2011. This swing commands attention due to its size and design. The Territory Swing is made up of a lot of different reclaimed farming tools. We use wagon wheels, plow handles, ox bows and even part of an old ox cart to make this swing. So this piece really includes the best of the best when it comes to reclaimed teak farming tools. Everywhere you look there are you will find another farming tool of some sort.
You really won't find another rustic swing like AdenWorks' Territory Swing out there. This piece is just awesome and will really dress up your outdoor spaces. Not only will it add to your space but it will also become a favorite hang out spot for your family, friends and guests.

Are you as obsessed with lighting as I am? I am mean I am sort of a light fanatic. Why? Well, lighting is sooo important when it comes to creating the perfect space. Obviously there are a lot of different factors that come into play when designing the perfect space. Things like color choice, layout, rustic furniture, flooring, fabrics, textures, artwork, accessories and of course lighting.
Well, if you read our rustic furniture blog loyally, then you know that we are taking a look back over 2011 to see what were some of the most popular rustic furniture pieces. These blogs are here to help you as you look forward to a successful 2012 year.
So far we have looked at the following:
So, today we are checking out rustic lighting. Now, we will admit, we do not sell a lot of lighting fixtures. Our specialty is rustic furniture, but rustic furniture looks great with a few standout rustic chandeliers.
Like I said earlier my husband and I are both obsessed with lighting. In fact, we have pretty much removed all overhead lighting in our home. It does drive some people crazy when they walk into a bedroom and flip the switch and only the fan turns on, but we did it for a reason. We prefer to light our home with beautiful chandeliers, lamps that are full of character and then I love to have candles just to add an extra warmth to the space.
The end result is our home looks much more inviting and the lighting is not harsh.
So, what rustic chandeliers topped our charts last year? Let’s find out what pieces compliment our wholesale rustic furniture perfectly:
2011 was all about accenting rustic furniture with large chandeliers.
Wagon Wheel Chandelier – The first is AdenWorks’ Wagon Wheel Chandelier. It is a beautiful piece made from an antique wagon wheel. This piece will automatically change a space and create beautiful lighting for the room. It looks stunning over the Bardean Table or over a cozy setting in a den or man room.

13 Lamp Iron Chandelier - The other rustic chandelier that captured a lot of attention over 2011 was the 13 Lamp Iron Chandelier. This is another awesome piece that would look great in an entry way or over a rustic dining room table. This piece is also offered in a smaller size depending on your needs.

Sleep is critical to our well being. We need sleep to function. We need sleep to stay well, and we need sleep to stay in a good mood and be productive throughout the day. All in all sleep is pretty dang important.
So, how do you get the best sleep? Well, for starters, you need a great bed and a really great mattress. Well, here at AdenWorks we are not in the business of selling mattresses. We are all about selling what the mattress rests on, beds, more specifically rustic beds.
So, we are smack dab in the middle of our rustic furniture blog series checking out some of the hottest pieces of rustic furniture from 2011. Today we are looking at, you guessed it, rustic beds.
Over the past year there were two specific beds that seemed to capture everyone’s attention. It just so happens that they both were wagon wheel beds. Let’s check them out:

This wagon wheel will immediately capture the attention of the room. The grand headboard is accented by an intricate footboard complete with half wagon wheel hubs. The posts of this bed are made from reclaimed teak wood which has a beautiful teak wood grain and stunning color variations. This is an absolutely beautiful bed which is handcrafted from reclaimed teak. This bed is a great option for a master suite or a guest bedroom.

Wagon Wheel Bunk Beds: One of the other most popular rustic beds from 2011 was the Wagon Wheel Bunk Beds. For some reason 2011 was all about the wagon wheel beds. This is another great option. The headboard and footboard of this bunk bed are made from half wagon wheels. All in all the bunk bed is made from 2 antique wagon wheels. The use of these genuine wagon wheels creates a bunk bed like no other. It is a pretty amazing piece which was build to last for years to come. This wagon wheel bunk bed will be a piece that can be passed down from generation to generation because of the quality of the construction and the materials used.
So, if you are looking at creating a bedroom display in your rustic furniture store, consider one of our wagon wheel beds or the wagon wheel bunk bed.

Come on let’s bring out the cake and ice cream already!! As I sit here writing my rustic furniture blog I have been munching on a delicious chocolate walnut brownie smeared with cream cheese icing. The sad thing is that it is not even 9:30 a.m. What can I say, chocolate is my absolute weakness!
But back to the cake (like I need anymore sweets today), it is time to celebrate! So, what are we celebrating, well this month AdenWorks turned 12! February, twelve years ago, AdenWorks was only a hope and dream.
It all started with a vision by owner Richard Dobrey. During some of his travels, he came across teak wood and it was love at first site. Not long after Richard began the journey into furniture manufacturing. His dream and vision was simple. Provide high quality and highly desirable teak furniture to stores and designers across the United States. He wanted to help stores and designers across American transform houses into homes with great pieces of teak furniture. Richard understands the importance furniture plays in the home. For example, a great dining room table will become a place for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. It will be where the family gathers to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. A great table can lend itself to some wonderful family memories. Likewise, some comfy Adirondack Chairs around a fire pit out back will quickly become a hangout. The guys will head outside during the winter to enjoy the blazing fire and a good cigar while relaxing in a comfortable teak chair. Great furniture really can bring family and friends together.
When AdenWorks first began we offered the traditional style of teak furniture. This furniture was made from plantation grown teak. It has a more yellowish coloring and was perfectly constructed. For several years we offered this teak furniture to stores and designers and for both residential and commercial use. During another one of Richard’s trips he found a more rustic take on teak furniture. He began manufacturing this more rustic side of teak furniture and AdenWorks began offering both options side by side.
As the years went by the teak furniture market became overwhelmed with the traditional teak furniture. People began making much cheaper versions of the furniture and you could find teak furniture in box stores. The only problem was that the teak sold for cheap in box stores was a much lesser grade teak than what AdenWorks was providing. Traditional teak furniture became too commonplace. So, we began focusing more on the teak rustic furniture.
Now, we specialize in wholesale rustic teak furniture. Our rustic furniture is made from reclaimed farming tools such as wagon wheels, wagon wheel hubs, ox bows, plows, feeing troughs, fence posts, and more! Each piece we offer is full of character and craftsmanship. Our teak rustic furniture is stands out due to our custom finish. Here at AdenWorks our teak rustic furniture craftsmen hand stain our furniture to give it that special AdenWorks’ look.
We want to thank all of our wonderful customers for giving us twelve years. We look forward to serving you and your rustic furniture stores and design firms for many more years to come. Thank you for choosing AdenWorks’ rustic furniture for your customers. It is a pleasure serving each and every one of you!

I am fascinated by the various trends found in home construction. It is interesting to see how much homes have changed over the years.
A little over two years ago my husband and I purchased our first house. Over the past two years we have been transforming it into our home complete with the perfect rustic furniture. I love our home. But it has taken a lot of elbow grease and endless DIY projects weekend after weekend. Finding our perfect home took some time and even a few tears on my part. Who knew home buying would be so emotional. All in all it was a really good experience and it taught me a lot about homes. With every house that I saw I realized more and more what I wanted in my house.
You see trends of small kitchens and master bathrooms to large kitchens and full size master bath retreats. One of the latest developments is that of the media room / man room. So, today in our rustic furniture blog, let’s take a look at the mighty man room and all that it entails. The man room, also known as the man cave is becoming a must have in homes and second homes across the country. It is what men look for when they are in the market for a new home. Not every man can have a man cave, but let’s be honest, every man wants one.
So, what goes into a man room:
First a man room needs to be comfortable. Think big comfy leather couches, loungers and overstuffed chairs. There also needs to be some tables for eating at. To compliment the leather furniture there needs to be some manly rustic furniture in the room to bring a rugged quality to the space. There needs to be a large T.V. so all of his buddies can come over and enjoy the game. There needs to be shelving for his books and prized processions. There also needs to be a great rustic bar as a focal point in the room. This is sure to become the one of the most popular areas of the room where all of boys hang out.
Here at wholesale rustic furniture company, AdenWorks, our rustic bars are a must have for man caves, restaurants, lake houses, etc. Since we are in the middle of a blog series that looks at the most popular rustic furniture of 2011 I had to take some time to talk about our rustic bars. So, which bars were topping your customers must have lists of 2011?
Buckrail Bar: The Buckrail Bar continues to grace homes across America. This roller bar is the ultimate in functionality. First you can roll this rustic bar to any space indoors or out. Secondly its design allows for you to use this bar is small spaces or out on a large patio for a pool party. The rustic bars doors open up to display storage for wine bottles, and ice bucket and even wine glasses. The bar’s serving top can fold out to for additional storage space as needed.

Longhorn Bar: The Longhorn Bar is a must have rustic bar that gives ruggedness a whole new meaning. This bar comes in three different sizes to meet your client’s needs. It offers great storage space, preparation space and serving space. Not only is it functional but it looks totally awesome with its old teak planks and wagon wheel hubs.

So, since we are in the middle of a blog series about the most popular rustic furniture pieces from 2011, it makes since we would talk about rustic tables. So, when you are looking to purchase a rustic table here are some things you want to look for. Once you figure out what shape you want the first thing you want to do is check the stability of the rustic table. Its a pretty obvious thing to look for, its the most important thing to look for. If the rustic table isn't stable then nothing else matters. After the stability test look over the cosmetics of the rustic table. The cosmetics are extremely important as this will be in your home, office or commercial space. You want to look at the quality of the stain, the smoothness of the wood and the application of the sealer. You want to check for all of the cosmetics of the rustic table because that ensures you are getting a quality piece. It is also important to know what kind of materials were used in the construction of your rustic table. You want high quality materials in your rustic table so you know that it will last.

In most of the country it is winter right now. It makes since, it is February after all... Well, down here in Texas it is 74 degrees. I must say that I am loving every minute of it. You see, I like certain aspects of winter. I love the snow. I love the fact that you can cuddle up by the fire with a good book. I love the peacefulness of snow covered mountains. I love snow days when I get to work from home. I love a good cup of hot chocolate or cider in the winter, and I really love to watch my dogs play in the snow. However, there is one thing I really don't like about winter and that is the cold. Its a pretty big thing not to like. But here in Texas our winters equal 70 degree weather. We are all wearing short sleeves down here, its crazy!
Yesterday, after I got done with my rustic furniture work, I headed home with thoughts of my garden. I am ready to start planting flowers and brining my garden to life. I mean it really feels like spring around here.
But, for most of the country you all are still experiencing winter. You have it all, the cold temperatures, the biting wind, the beautiful snow and for some of you even the mountains. So, while I am ready to get the grill started you all are still enjoying a full blown winter.
So, whats with all of the weather talk? Well, I have been thinking over 2011 and some of our most popular rustic furniture pieces. Today I wanted to talk about our rustic home furnishings which include:
Rustic Nightstands
Rustic armories
Rustic Bookshelves
Rustic dressers
Rustic Trunks
Rustic Stools and more!
Wholesale rustic furniture provider AdenWorks offers a wide variety of rustic home furnishings. So, while it is still winter lets continue to focus on our home decor. Which rustic home furnishings in your store get the most attention from customers? Which pieces demand attention when someone walks into a room?
Well, hopefully the rustic home furnishings I share with you today will help you out as you look to purchase new rustic furniture for your store. Below are some of the pieces that topped our 2011 charts for rustic home furnishings.
Wagon Wheel Nightstand: The Wagon Wheel Nightstand is a fun piece that people just love for children's rustic bedrooms. I designed this rustic nightstand as a compliment to our ever popular Wagon Wheel Bunk Bed. It is a great compliment to the wagon wheel bed and customers just love it. This rustic nightstand is an exclusive piece to wholesale rustic furniture provider AdenWorks.

Bardean Side Board: If you are looking for a great rustic buffet for your store, then look no further than AdenWorks Bardean Side Board. This is a beautiful rustic piece which offers a lot of serving space and storage space alike. The Bardean Side Board is the perfect size as well. Your customers can use it in their dining rooms, entryways or kitchens.

Axle Foot Stool: The last piece I will cover today is the Axle Foot Stool. This is another popular rustic home furnishing's piece. It is a rugged stool that can be used as a stool or foot rest. It is a great little rustic accessory piece that can accent any space.
